Features

12 questions

Matterport tags are interactive information layers that you can add to specific points within the 3D tour. They appear as small icons that visitors can click to view additional information — such as text, photos, links, or videos.

Tags are ideal for labelling products in a showroom, highlighting room amenities in a hotel, or displaying technical details in a real estate property.

Matterport Labels are fixed text labels that are always visible in the 3D model — even without a click. They are often used to display room names in a hotel environment or conference centre, so visitors immediately know which space they are viewing.

In the Matterport viewer, users can measure distances, surface areas, and heights directly within the tour using the measurement tool. Accuracy is typically within 1% of the actual dimension.

Particularly useful for architects, interior designers, property managers, and event planners who need to make spatial decisions without having to revisit the location in person.

With 'Link to location' you capture a specific starting position within the tour and share it as a link or embed code. The visitor lands directly on the chosen spot, useful for a sales presentation where you want to show a specific space right away without the visitor having to navigate themselves.

Yes. Several adjustments are possible after the scan: adding or updating tags, setting starting points, refining floor plans and adding room names. Full rescans are also possible if a space has been significantly renovated. We take care of this post-production for you.

Story mode is a guided walkthrough feature that automatically leads the visitor along a route you define. You combine each stop with a text block or tag. This lets you present your location as a story, in the order you choose.

Google Street View offers 360-degree photographic images where you jump from point to point. Matterport creates a fully three-dimensional model: visitors navigate freely, view the top-down floor plan, and can measure distances. Image quality, navigation freedom and spatial experience are significantly higher with Matterport.

Matterport is suitable for hotel marketing, real estate presentations, event sales, showroom presentations, insurance documentation, as-built recordings for architects and interior designers, and inspection purposes. We are happy to advise on the most valuable use for your specific situation.

A 3D tour lets guests and event planners experience your space online before they commit. That builds confidence earlier in the decision process, which means fewer drawn-out email threads, faster RFP responses for venues, and higher direct booking rates for hotels.

No. We handle the scan, processing and delivery. You receive a ready-to-use link and embed code, nothing to install or configure. If you want tags, labels or a Cvent integration added, we set that up for you.

Wherever you want to share it. Beyond your own website, tours commonly appear in your Google Business Profile via the Street View link, on Booking.com through the embed feature, on social media, and for hotels and venues, directly inside Cvent Social Tables.

Ours. We scan on location with our own Matterport Pro3 equipment and in-house team, never subcontractors, and deliver the finished tour. You do not need to build or edit anything yourself.

Technology

The Matterport Pro3 camera combines LiDAR depth scanning with high-resolution 360° photography. The software automatically processes all scan points into a seamless, navigable 3D model.

We work exclusively with the Pro3 camera — never with smartphones or consumer equipment. This guarantees the sharpest images and the most accurate floor plans.

Yes, Matterport tours work on all modern devices: desktop, tablet, and smartphone. On mobile you navigate using touch gestures. The tour can also be viewed in VR mode with a compatible headset. No app is required — the tour opens directly in the browser.

Spaces should ideally be tidy and furnished as you wish to present them. Doors should be open so that all rooms can be scanned as a connected whole. People should remain outside the field of view during a scan. We will send you a complete checklist in advance.

Yes. Matterport provides tools to automatically blur faces and licence plates. We apply this as standard for recordings in public or semi-public spaces. For specific privacy requirements, we discuss the approach in advance to ensure the tour is fully GDPR-compliant.

Planning & Recording

9 questions

We scan an average hotel or office in 4 to 6 hours. For large conference centres or complex buildings this can extend to a full day. We always schedule sufficient time so that no space is missed.

No, your venue does not need to be closed. We prefer to work in the early morning or during quiet periods to minimise any disruption to guests or staff. A recording outside opening hours is also possible by arrangement.

Yes, we regularly work for chains and groups with multiple locations. We plan an efficient scan route and deliver all tours in a consistent format. For framework agreements with fixed rates, please get in touch with us.

The Matterport Pro3 camera captures every detail — dirt, dust, and clutter are clearly visible in a 360° recording. Make sure floors, furniture, windows, and glass surfaces are thoroughly clean. Tidy away loose items: bags, cables, temporary signage, and personal belongings should not be in shot.

Arrange furniture and decorations exactly as you wish to present them. Straight artwork on the walls, well-made beds, and neatly arranged chairs make an immediate difference to the final quality of the tour.

We always scan from bottom to top — from the ground floor to the top floor. This is required for a correct construction of the 3D model and ensures a logical navigation structure within the tour. Lift and stairwell connections are scanned carefully so that all floors connect seamlessly.

Agree in advance which spaces will and will not be included, so the scan route is efficient and complete.

Yes, we ask you to have a technical contact person on standby during the recording. Lighting plays a crucial role in image quality — faulty or flickering bulbs, failed spotlights, or non-functioning ambient lighting must be able to be fixed immediately. A maintenance technician or facilities staff member with access to technical rooms and the fuse box is essential for this.

Also ensure that all light switches are accessible and that you inform us in advance about any spaces with special lighting installations.

Pricing & Add-ons

3 questions

We always work with a fixed, tailored quote — no hourly rates, no surprises afterwards. The price is determined by the size and complexity of the venue, the number of spaces and floors, the travel distance, and any add-ons.

Request a no-obligation quote via our contact form. You will receive an indication the same working day.

Matterport automatically generates a schematic floor plan as part of the tour. If you would like a formatted, print-ready floor plan for a brochure or event proposal, we provide this as an add-on. The price depends on the complexity and the desired level of detail.

With the CAD files package you receive the 3D model as an editable CAD file (DWG/DXF/RVT), suitable for use in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software. Valuable for architects and project developers who use the scan as a basis for renovation plans or technical drawings.

Hosting & Management

3 questions

After the scan, we process the data within 3 to 5 working days. You will then receive the embed code and a direct link so you can immediately publish the tour on your website, in presentations, or via social channels.

All tours are hosted on Matterport's secure servers. You do not need to arrange any hosting yourself. We offer annual maintenance contracts to keep your tour accessible and up to date.

We can update the tour after a renovation or refurbishment. You only pay for the new scan of the modified spaces. For venues that change regularly, we offer maintenance contracts with fixed rates and turnaround times.
